Góra Ciosowa

This site is also located by the Kielce-Łódź road. We drive through Miedziana Góra and just after the last buildings we turn west for the village of Ciosowa. The quarry is located north of the road, on the slope of Góra Cisowska. Excavation has exposed red Triassic “Tumlin sandstones” with a finely preserved layering typical for dune sediment. The quarry merges with the surrounding forest because of intensive overgrowth.
